Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/L)

Thrive Therapy has an immediate opening for a part time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L). We are looking for a dynamic, creative and self-driven individual to join our team! We provide occupational therapy services in a child’s natural environment. These settings include daycares, pre-schools, schools and homes. We provide our therapy assistants with support, quick communication and resources to ensure they feel supported, and continue to grow professionally. Our therapy assistants get to manage their own schedules, providing flexibility and autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform selected components of occupational therapy intervention to include treatment, measurement, and data collection in accordance with laws, regulatory requirements, and AOTA documents.
  • Implement treatment plans designed to help patients progress and develop within their natural environment.
  • Timely and accurately record occupational therapy services in an informative and descriptive manner.

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed and eligible as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
  • One year minimum of experience is preferred--ideally in a pediatric setting
  • Ability to pass a background screening, drug test, and drive history check.
  • Must possess strong patient assessment, patient management, and documentation skills.
  • Must desire to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and interact professionally.
